With Draft2Digital, it’s easier to publish your E-book without effort. But you need to be very careful when publishing any kind of content that is inside your E-book. On this post; I’ll show you how to place a content rating on Each book what you’re writing. So readers can easily check if your book is safe to read.
Why do you have to place content ratings on your books?
Using your imagination when writing your book is extremely a hard project. But you must be very careful when writing a book, otherwise; your book will be pulled from store shelves, and land you in court!
You’ve taken a look of these content ratings on any of these movie cases all right. It’s possible to rate your book the same way as creators of any movies that you watch. Most creators proof-view their work, and determine if any of the following ratings should be applied:
- [G]
- [PG]
- [PG-13]
- [R]
It’s important to have these ratings because, that enables parents to varify if your books are safe for their children via any age group.
To place a content rating on your E-book, you can accomplish this trick by placing rating information after your description of your book. For example; you written a book about a boy who wished for a large poodle to ride, and he lives in the country where there’s less people. Your content is rated G. Your book has over 200 pages.
To do this:
- Log into your Draft2Digital account.
- Navigate to My Books.
- Go to any of your published books, and hit the edit button to edit your description of your book, the same way as you setup a book,–when adding it for the first time. Be sure to republish it to update it.
- Wait for a couple of hours or so for your book to be updated.
- Go through your notifications on any of your E-mail accounts. Gmail is widely used. Alternatively, you can use a different email for your account.
- Once your changes are applied to your work, your rating is displayed below your description.
Check your content and determine the rating that should be applied. It’s useful if your book contains adult content.
WARNING:
Be careful when applying a rating to any of your books. If your books contains illegal pornographic pictures; that may lead you to be reported to law enforcement. That’s what some people who write adult books didn’t even understand.
Most vendors have a content policy that keeps our E-book vendors safe for some publishers.. You can take a look of their following policy via any vendor:
